Established on 20th January 1966, Tractors
Singapore Limited (TSL) is the leading equipment dealer in Singapore.
We are a full line Cat dealer distributing
Cat machines, engines and lift trucks for the service territories of the
Republic of Singapore, the Republic of Maldives and Christmas Island (Indian
Ocean). Our ties with Caterpillar go back to the 1920s when our parent
company - Sime Darby - acquired the Cat dealership for Sarawak.
Apart from the Cat dealership, TSL is also
the dealer for New Holland Agricultural equipment, Sullair Air Compressors
and Jacobsen Turf Care Equipment.
We offer a full range of services including
sales, rental, parts and service support.

TSL’s embryonic association with Caterpillar
began in the early 1920s as the heavy equipment arm of Sime Darby. It then
grew into the Singapore branch of Tractors Malaysia before transforming
into its subsidiary in December 1969. On 1st January 1983, as a result
of a corporate reorganisation in Sime Darby Berhad, TSL became a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Sime Singapore Limited. In the same year, TSL gained independent
Caterpillar dealership status with the service territories of the Republic
of Singapore and Christmas Island, Indian Ocean. In
2004, our ownership was transferred to Sime Darby Industrial Holdings Pte
Ltd (formerly known as Tractors Singapore Holdings Pte Ltd) due to restructuring
within the Sime Darby group.
Other milestones in TSL’s history are:
1991 On 2nd January,
TSL joined the elite group of Caterpillar Power professionals
with the recognition of its skills in sales application,
designing, packaging and
support of complete power systems.
1994 Received
ISO 9000 accreditation.
2000 On 15th
June, TSL assigned the service territory of the REpublic of Maldives.
2001 First Cat
dealer in Asia to open The Cat Rental Store®
2002 Continuing
on its journey towards business excellence, TSL adopted the 6 SIgma
concept of life.
2005 Appointed
as Cat Marine Excellence Centre's technical partner.
